Kenan Celtik, M.D., M.S. (he/him)
Dr. Celtik (he/him) is an experienced surgeon with 15 years of advanced education and training. He has numerous publications in high impact factor medical journals and is at the forefront of his subspecialty.
He is a member of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS) and the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). Dr. Celtik is one of the only urologists in the world with GURS Fellowship training from Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC specifically focused on reconstructive urology, urologic prosthetics and gender affirming genital surgeries. His fellowship training included intensive training in masculinizing reconstruction with Dr. Miroslav Djordjevic, penile implant surgery with Dr. Robert Valenzuela and training in all forms of feminizing reconstructive surgeries including Robotic Peritoneal Flap Vaginoplasty with Dr. Rajveer Purohit.
Dr. Celtik’s expertise in robotic assisted surgery and minimally invasive surgery were developed during his urological surgery Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital the highest volume urologic robotic surgery program in the state of Texas.
Dr. Celtik began his educational journey at the University of California Berkeley where he studied microbial biology as an undergraduate, then after moving to NYC with his wife he attended Columbia University for his Master of Science in human nutrition. Finally he received his M.D. from Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
In his free time he enjoys reading,yoga, gaming, trying new restaurants, and spending time outside with his family.
He practices reconstructive urology and gender affirming genital surgery exclusively at the Crane Center for Transgender Surgery in the San Francisco Bay Area.
